Live Configuration

During an active assessment session, the facilitator can adjust the interface behavior and question flow in real time. These adjustments are made via the configuration side panel, accessible only on the presenter's screen.

To open this panel, click on the gear icon (Settings) located in the upper right corner of the animator's header:

Any changes made in this section are instantly synchronised with all screens of connected participants.

1. Live Adjustable Options

The side panel allows you to modify the following settings on the fly:

  • Session Language: Changes the session's default language. This instantly changes the language of questions displayed on the presenter's screen and updates the default language for all participants. Each participant can still manually select a different language on their own device if needed.
  • Display of progress: Allows you to hide or show the real-time progress bar.
  • Elvy Companion: Allows you to activate or deactivate Elvy's interactive animation on participants' screens.
  • Timer Options:
  • Activate the timer: Turns the timer indicator on or off for the current question.
  • Timer direction: Alternates between increasing mode (stopwatch) and decreasing mode (countdown).
  • Custom timer: Allows you to enable customisation of the time per question.
  • Default duration: Allows you to redefine the thinking time (in seconds) allocated to questions.
  • Simple Mode (Accessibility): Activates Simple Mode during the session. This action forces the deactivation of the progress bar, Elvy, and timer on all participants' devices to clean up the voting interface. As soon as Simple Mode is deactivated, the system instantly restores the initial display options.

2. Zoom and Visual Comfort for the Presenter

To adapt to the constraints of projection in the room (low resolution video projectors, large screens, audience distance), the presenter can adjust the size of the projected text:

A zoom slider allows you to adjust the text size scale from 80% to 200% (in increments: 80%, 100%, 125%, 150%, 175%, 200%).

3. Session Cancellation

If the meeting has to be interrupted prematurely or in case of a handling error, the presenter can permanently cancel the current session:

A red Cancel session button is present at the bottom of the configuration pane.

Clicking this button opens a confirmation dialog box to prevent accidental interruptions.

Once the cancellation is confirmed, the session is immediately terminated. All connected participants are disconnected in real time and redirected to a screen indicating that the session has been canceled. No data or partial votes from this session are recorded in the history or evaluation reports.
